Community Care Licensed facilities in California
- Group Homes that provide residential care to wards and dependents
of the juvenile courts; to special education students placed by county
mental health agencies; and to developmentally disabled minors and adults
who are placed by Regional Centers
- Foster Family Agencies that contract with California counties to certify
foster family homes and provide certified foster care to wards and dependents
of the juvenile courts.
Certified non-public special education schools
(NPS)
- NPSs that serve special education students placed by local educational
agencies that do not have public programs available to serve such students
and operate only day programs.
- NPSs that are operated by, or in conjunction with, community care
licensed group homes.
